Best of both worlds. North east (Inside) on a high tide is sheltered, shallow enough to stand (in places) but can be patchy.Outside is brilliant, steady waves,access at all states of tide.

Ben Lidstone-Scott I agree best of both worlds - but ideally if you are in to Freestyle and love port tack, NW winds and high tide are an excellent combination behind the small mini spit. If the wind is SW then great fun, but too much west - go to Lepe
